Let’s Pimp Trillian

Well, that didn’t last long. Of course, I still have gotten more done today than I did yesterday.

Rick popped online a bit ago, and opened with: “Trillian is BEAUTIFUL!!!!” Yes, it is.

What’s Trillian? It’s only the best solution I’ve found for Windows-based Instant Messaging. Trillian is a free download, although don’t be a slacker and not toss ’em a few bucks, eh? It manages AIM, ICQ, MSN Messenger, and Yahoo! Messenger conversations from one interface. You have to have accounts on any service that you wish to communicate through, but that’s still going to be free to you. Best of all, no annoying ads while you’re using the software.

If you like instant messenging, you should give it a try. Also, you should check out the history page and go grab my IM handles.

Addendum: looking at their page just now, I see that they’re ready to beta-test the next version. I’m guessing that this will be v0.8. I’m interested to see what it will do! 🙂

  1. Yeah, I’ve gotta say that Trillian is pretty cool. Last time I used it it didn’t support invisibility very well. Well, it handled it alright from my end, but when people who were on my invisibile list IM’ed me, it kept saying I was away. *shrug*
