Multitasking Fun

Well, I’m sitting here on the phone with USAA, checking on the status of my claim, as well as inputting data in for work. It was funny to me when the agent I talked to ask, “How’s your headache?”

Sorry, I gotta laugh ’bout all this. Beats crying about it.

Of course, that’s only the second-funniest thing I’ve heard all day. The funniest came from my own mouth, when I told our customer on the speakerphone that we were working to meet his deadline–and giving every body language cue known to man to imply that there was no way in hell that we would meet it, despite what I was saying. Everyone in the room was trying not to crack up, including me.

Update: Looks as if I will have rental car coverage on this claim, so the new car push can go to a lower setting while I wait things out …

  1. No, no, no, wait a minute. That wasn’t the funniest thing in that meeting.

The funniest thing in the meeting was the DCMA [government quality] guy who said, in an email, "I plan to be sick on Thursday and am taking vacation on Friday." I’m still laughing at that.

I’m planning my mental breakdown for tomorrow …
