After having looked at WP 1.2 on Mark‘s install, I have this to say:
WP 1.2 is everything 1.0 should have been and wasn’t. 1.2 makes 1.0 seem like 1.0 should have been released as 0.8-generation code. The interface is much cleaner and thinks more like a user than a coder, although I’m sure that it could stand further refinement. [With smart guys like Alex and Matt involved, I’m sure that it will get better on that end.] Things are overall more organized, and the plugins interface seems to have matured significantly.
I’m now unbelievably excited about WP … not enough to use a Release Candidate, but still very excited.
