Proposal

It’s not every day that you end up sitting across the table from your company VP. Well, not for me, anyway. [I could shoot everyone else in the room for leaving me that chair.]

It turns out that the schedule I was working was acceptable, at least internally. We went from a heaping, smoldering pile of stupidity to something that makes a good deal of sense.

I guess the best thing that I got out of it was a 10-hour workday, which means that I can probably soak up some time at the end of the pay period to do what I want.

Unless, of course, I get sent to Houston like I fear that I’ll be, and then, well, I’m screwed.

As a former colleague once famously [and repeatedly] said, “Happiness is not a condition of employment.”
